Meet Michael Laps

Michael has spent over 15 years working with founders, executives, and business leaders to drive rapid revenue growth for their companies.

An award-winning marketer, Michael founded one of Australia’s premier independent digital agencies at age 25. By the time he exited in 2022, his team of 35 was working with household names like ANZ Bank, R.M. Williams, the NRL and many more.

Michael now works with ambitious ambitious, founder-led companies that recognise marketing is both their weakness and their greatest opportunity.

In his spare time, Michael is a board member, a guest lecturer at Australia's top universities, and a trainer at the Australian Marketing Institute.

The AMI has awarded Michael the designation of 'Fellow of the AMI' (FAMI), their highest possible level of professional recognition – so you're in safe hands.

What does the day look like?

The workshop runs for a full day – from 8.30am until 5.30pm, including a catered working lunch.

We'll then go through Michael's STEPS Marketing Framework, which covers how to build an effective marketing strategy, a world-class team to run it, and the processes you need to avoid costly mistakes.

You'll learn about what's happening in the world of marketing, and actually start building out your strategy and solving any processes around team and processes you might have.

At the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with a clear, actionable 90-day roadmap for taking your marketing from blueprint to breakthrough.

Do I need an existing marketing team to benefit from the workshop?

No, you don't. Whether you have an existing team, rely on external agencies or are starting from scratch, the workshop is designed to build a marketing system that aligns with your business goals sets you up for success.

What kind of support do I get afterwards?

Everyone that attends a workshop will have access to three group calls in the months after the workshop. The group calls will include only those who attended the workshop with you on the day, so you've got continuity with the same business owners. It's also an opportunity to continue the networking and build your own support system and extended community.

If you want to book in 1-on-1 strategy sessions with Michael, you'll be able to do that after the workshop through a booking link (fees apply).

Can I bring someone with me?

Each workshop is designed to have limited numbers, providing a feeling of intimacy and genuine individual attention for everyone. Because of this, we can't offer free additional spots. However, if they're willing to buy a seat then they are of course welcome to attend.
